While I’ve been a photographer for over 10 years, my love for capturing moments goes all the way back to 2004. I was just 7 years old when my parents gifted me my first camera—a purple Fujifilm Nexia Q1 film camera. Back then, my portfolio was filled with photos of my cat named Peaches, my Barbie house, and my Strawberry Shortcake dolls.
Fast forward to today, and I now spend my time documenting wedding days, growing families, graduating seniors, and brand identities for fellow creatives—while also blogging about the things I love most. Photography has always been part of me, but so has storytelling, and I feel so grateful to turn these passions into something meaningful. Here’s a little peek into my life.
I'm lauren, your professional third wheel & creative.
I started my photography business in high school, but believe it or not, I actually went to college for nursing. I graduated with my BSN in 2019 and spent three years working as a registered nurse—first in labor & delivery, then in family medicine. Caring for others has always been at the core of who I am, and I’ve always had a deep love for science.
But in 2022, when we found out we were expecting our sweet baby boy, I felt a nudge from the Lord—a quiet yet undeniable call to finally take a leap of faith. I had always dreamed of being both a photographer and a stay-at-home mom, and this was my moment to step fully into that calling. Now, I get to spend my days at home with my babies while still pursuing my passion—documenting love, telling stories, and sharing my heart through photography and blogging. The flexibility of creating my own schedule allows me to be fully present with my family while still doing the work that fills my creative heart. And I couldn’t be more grateful.

A typical day in my life starts with a cup of coffee, telling Alexa to play worship music, and making breakfast for my two kiddos. I have an undeniable love for coffee after working as a barista all throughout college. My husband and I shamelessly watch Wheel of Fortune every night, and this last year I've rediscovered my love for reading after purchasing a Kindle. I'm a sucker for romantic fiction & murder mysteries, and I've joined two book clubs in the last year. Let's be friends on Goodreads. :)
