While I've been a photographer for over 8 years now, my love for taking photos dates way back to 2004. I was 7-years-old when my parents gifted me my very first camera - a purple Fujifilm Nexia Q1 film camera. Back then, the majority of my work consisted of photos of my cat named Peaches, my barbie house, and my collection of strawberry shortcake dolls. Today, I spend my weekends documenting wedding days, growing families, graduating seniors, and brand identities for other like-minded entrepreneurs. Here's a peek into my life.
I started my photography business in high school, but believe it or not, I actually went to college for nursing. I graduated with my BSN in 2019 and worked as a registered nurse for three years, starting in labor & delivery and then transitioning to family medicine. I truly love caring for others & have always found science fascinating. Once we found out we were expecting our sweet baby boy in 2022, I felt the nudge from the Lord to finally take the leap of faith and dive head-first into photography full-time. It's always been a dream of mine to be a photographer & stay-at-home mom. The flexibility of creating my own work schedule allows me to stay home with Leo during the day, while still working my dream job of shooting in the evenings and on the weekends.
A typical day in my life starts with a cup of coffee, telling Alexa to play worship music, and snuggling my baby boy. My husband and I shamelessly watch Wheel of Fortune every night, and this last year I've rediscovered my love for reading after purchasing a Kindle. I'm a sucker for romantic fiction & murder mysteries, and I've joined two book clubs in the last year. Let's be friends on Goodreads. :)
